AweHunter: the van conversion

In 2026 we bought a Peugeot Boxer and started turning it into a campervan. We managed a trip around Europe fairly early on, then came back with a much better idea of what we needed to build.

There’s a lot to this one: insulation and flooring, a bed and storage, water, electrics and all the little decisions that come with making a van work for real life. I’m doing as much of the conversion myself as I can, learning as I go.

The plan is a 24-volt electrical system and no LPG in the van. It’s an ongoing project, and progress tends to depend on the weather, energy levels and which bit needs doing next.
